What this test measures
Your urine sample is cultured to grow and identify the organism causing infection, then tested against a panel of antibiotics to see which ones actually kill it. That sensitivity report is what lets your doctor prescribe precisely rather than empirically.
Who should consider it
Anyone with burning urination, frequency, fever with lower back pain, or a urine routine showing pus cells. Particularly important for recurrent infections, in pregnancy, in people with diabetes, and where a previous antibiotic course did not resolve symptoms.
Preparation
Collect a clean-catch midstream sample in the sterile container we provide, ideally first thing in the morning. Give the sample before starting antibiotics wherever possible – even one dose can prevent the organism from growing and render the culture uninformative.
Reports and home collection
Culture reports typically take 48 to 72 hours, since the organism must be grown before it can be tested. Free sample pickup across Gaur City 1, Gaur City 2 and Sector 16C.
