What this test measures
The TFT panel reports Total T3, Total T4 and TSH. TSH is the most sensitive early marker – it usually shifts before T3 and T4 do, which is why it anchors the panel.
Who should consider it
Thyroid disorders are common in Indian adults, particularly women. Consider testing if you have unexplained weight change, hair fall, constant fatigue, feeling cold, irregular periods, or a family history of thyroid disease. Many people carry a thyroid imbalance for years without noticing.
Preparation
No fasting needed. A morning sample is preferred for consistency. If you already take thyroid medication, give the sample before your dose that day.
