Description
What this test measures
A semen analysis reports volume, sperm concentration, total count, motility, morphology, viscosity and pH. It is the foundation test in any male fertility assessment, and it is also used to confirm success after a vasectomy.
Who should consider it
Couples who have been trying to conceive for a year or more without success, men undergoing a fertility workup, and men needing post-vasectomy confirmation. Male factors contribute to roughly half of all fertility difficulties, so testing both partners early saves time.
Preparation
Abstain from ejaculation for 2 to 5 days before the test – neither less nor more, as both extremes distort the result. The sample must reach the laboratory within about 30 to 45 minutes and be kept close to body temperature, so collection at or near our Gaur City 1 lab is preferred.

Reports are released confidentially, usually the same day. Please call ahead to schedule, as timing is important for accuracy.
